Contemporary challenges facing women in the ministry today

Workshop Title

While the world is evolving, women are still lagging behind when it comes to church Ministry. With women still pushing to reach the top, they are faced with range of challenges which is preventing many efficient women from achieving their goals. To affirm the worth and value of women’s intrinsic capability, influential leadership quality and also to be included alongside men equally in the ministry has been the constant agenda, however it is not happening as it should be. Indeed, the scenery has been changed and is no longer the same as in the past 30 years but at the moment, the common cry of women is equality, respect and understanding because though undoubtedly women’s status has improved, some challenges still remain as daunting.

The aims of this session are to provide creative ideas that encourage women to take up their ministry as disciples of Jesus Christ, to alleviate the burden facing women, to adopt and to apply Jesus Christ’s leadership style, to live out the purpose of life that God has assigned us, to empower women to live a positive and visionary life, to contribute the best to build a better home, church and society, to be responsible and trustworthy leaders, to build self esteem and to be deeply rooted in God
