John Kok

John Kok serves as Senior Pastor of Kuala Lumpur Baptist Church in the heart of the Golden Triangle commercial district in the capital city of Malaysia.

Before going into full-time ministry, Kok worked in a stock broker firm. He went overseas to Australia to complete his Diploma in Church Doctrine and Practice from Emmaus Bible College in 1985. Upon his graduation, he returned to Malaysia in 1987 to serve at Kuala Lumpur Baptist Church as Director of Youth. He became Director of Discipleship in 1988 and was appointed as the Senior Pastor in 1989. In 1996, he graduated from the Malaysia Baptist Theological Seminary in Penang with a double degree of Bachelor in Ministry and Masters in Christian Ministry. In addition to his ministry in Kuala Lumpur, Kok is a former chairman of the Malaysia Baptist Convention, former Vice President of the Asia Pacific Baptist Federation, and former Vice President of the Baptist World Alliance.

He is married to Grace Lee and they have two sons and one daughter.
